1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and prohibited activities that apply to all users, customers, administrators, developers, and end users (collectively, "you") of the BMDRM secure video hosting, encryption, and DRM streaming platform (the "Services").

This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, termination, or referral to law enforcement.

2. General Principles

You agree to use the Services:

  • Lawfully, ethically, and in good faith.
  • In compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.
  • In a manner that respects the security, integrity, and availability of the platform and other users.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, import, host, distribute, or stream content that:

  • Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party.
  • Contains child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") or any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors.
  • Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or incitement to violence.
  • Constitutes unlawful harassment, threats, defamation, or hate speech.
  • Contains malware, viruses, spyware, or other malicious code.
  • Violates applicable export control, sanctions, or trade laws.
  • Is obtained through fraud, theft, or unauthorized access.

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not, and you may not authorize any third party to:

4.1 Security and Integrity

  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any DRM, encryption, watermarking, or access control mechanism, including those protecting BMDRM, its customers, or third parties.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without prior written authorization.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or related infrastructure.
  • Bypass rate limits, authentication, or other technical controls.
  • Use the Services to deliver content designed to mine cryptocurrency on viewers' devices without disclosed consent.

4.2 Abusive Use

  • Send unsolicited messages, spam, or chain communications through the Services.
  • Use the Services to harass, stalk, threaten, or harm others.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Engage in fraudulent activity, phishing, or social engineering.

4.3 Reverse Engineering and Misuse

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Services, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Services, except as expressly authorized in your subscription plan or partner agreement.
  • Use the Services to build or train a competing product or service.

4.4 System Abuse

  • Operate botnets, DDoS infrastructure, or proxy networks through the Services.
  • Use the Services as part of a command-and-control infrastructure or to deliver malware.
  • Use the Services for unauthorized scraping or automated bulk data extraction in violation of these policies.

5. Cloud Storage Integrations

When using BMDRM integrations with Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, FTP/FTPS/SFTP, S3-compatible storage, or any other third-party storage provider, you agree:

  • To connect only accounts and credentials that you are authorized to use.
  • Not to use BMDRM connectors to access content you do not have rights to access.
  • To respect the terms of service and acceptable use policies of the third-party storage provider.

BMDRM accesses only the files and folders you explicitly authorize and uses imported content solely to import, process, transcode, encrypt, package, host, and securely stream the materials you designate.

6. Compliance with Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with:

  • Copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
  • Data protection and privacy laws applicable to your content and audience.
  • Broadcasting, licensing, and content classification regulations relevant to your industry.
  • Export control and sanctions regimes.

7. Notification of Abuse

If you become aware of content or activity on BMDRM that may violate this AUP, please notify us promptly at [email protected], including:

  • A description of the content or activity.
  • The relevant URLs, identifiers, or account information.
  • Your contact details (so we can follow up if necessary).

8. Intellectual Property and Copyright

BMDRM respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. Rights-holders who believe content hosted on the Services infringes their rights may submit a notice to [email protected] including:

  • Identification of the work claimed to be infringed.
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location.
  • Your contact information.
  • A statement of good faith belief that use is not authorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We will investigate and act on valid notices in accordance with applicable law.

9. Enforcement

BMDRM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Investigate suspected violations.
  • Remove or restrict access to content.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

We will, where reasonably practicable and lawful, provide notice and an opportunity to remedy non-material violations.

10. Changes

We may update this AUP to reflect new threats, new features, or legal developments. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
